Some things we like, just for pleasure,
Yet some good is good, beyond measure:
Our lives, God gave us,
And Christ, to save us;
This we know, from His Word, our treasure!

A good reminder to be more Mary-like for this Martha-like woman.
Thanks, Sherry. Actually, it is easier for all of us to copy Martha’s service mode, at the expense of forgetting Mary’s devotion-at-Christ’s-feet mode, when it comes to living daily life. Devotional thinking is not so much misplaced and forgotten as it is all-too-often postponed.
